Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar

For travelers coming from Delhi, most packages include a deluxe houseboat or arrangements to welcome guests in a luxurious hotel. After arrival, guests can freshen up and enjoy an afternoon shikara ride on the famous Dal Lake, where they can see the Floating Vegetable Garden. The tour also includes demonstrations of paper making and walnut wood carving. A delightful dinner awaits, and guests will spend the night in a comfortable deluxe houseboat.

Day 2: Exploring Srinagar

The next morning, guests will embark on a journey to the Mughal Gardens to experience breathtaking views that truly define the concept of ‘Heaven on Earth’. The journey continues to Nishat Bagh, which has a translation of ‘Abode of Pleasure’ by Asif Khan (in the year 1632 AD), who is also the brother-in-law of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. The tour then moves to Shalimar Bagh, the ‘abode of love’ built for Noor Jahan by her emperor husband, Jahangir. Set against the backdrop of the Zabarwan Mountains near Dal Lake, these gardens are located 12 to 15 km from the capital city. On the way, the honeymoon couple can stop at a carpet-weaving factory to learn about this traditional practice in Kashmir. After a busy day, guests deserve a restful night’s sleep aboard the deluxe houseboat followed by dinner of their choice.

Day 3: Srinagar to Pahalgam (90 Kms/Approx. 2hrs 30 mins)

After breakfast, embark on a journey to Pahalgam, a charming town nestled at the foothills of the Himalayas. Check in to your hotel in Pahalgam and visit the Awantipora ruins and Mattan Temple. Take a pony ride to Mamleshwar, a small Shiva Temple located just a kilometer downstream from the Lidder River. Return to your hotel for night rest.

Day 4: Pahalgam to Gulmarg (138 Kms/Approx. 4 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed to Gulmarg, just a 4-hour drive away. Check in to your hotel, freshen up, and embark on local sightseeing, including the Gondola – Asia’s highest and longest cable car project. You can try skiing or snowboarding, with coaches available for hire. Gulmarg also features the world’s highest Golf Course with 18 holes. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 5: Gulmarg to Srinagar (54 Kms/Approx. 2 hrs)

After breakfast, leave for Srinagar and visit the Shankaracharya Temple perched atop a hill. On the way, explore Drung Waterfall, located 16 km away from Gulmarg. Spend your free time exploring markets and return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 6: Srinagar to Sonmarg Day Excursion (80Kms/Approx 2.30 hrs.)

After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Sonmarg, known as the Gateway of Ladakh. Enjoy the breathtaking drive and stop at scenic spots along the way. Visit Thajiwas Glacier, accessible by horse ride, where snow remains throughout the year. Return to Srinagar and spend night at the hotel.

Day 7: Return Journey

The next day, guests will be conveniently transported to the airport for the return flight to Delhi.
