Languages: The most common languages spoken in Kashmir are Kashmiri, Dogri, Urdu, Hindi, Ladakhi, Purig, Tibetan, and English.
Kashmiri: This is the most dominant language of Kashmir. It is the native Kashmiri language. Kashmiri is an Indo-Aryan language and is popularly called Koshur in local terms.
Hindi
It is the second most spoken language of Kashmir. Its language is especially used by the Kashmiri Pandit and Gujjar communities.
Dogri
Dogri language is very popular in India and belongs to the family of Indo-Aryan languages. Speak mainly in Jammu and Kashmir region this is also spoken in northern Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and somewhere also called the Pahari language. The people speak Dogri called Dogras and their region is called Duggar. Dogri language is a member of the Western Pahari languages group.
Urdu
The Muslim population speaks the Urdu language in Kashmir. It is an Indo-European language. It sounds very similar to Hindi. Urdu is the only language in the world that is written and read from right to left.
English
Now English is spoken widely in the world. Kashmiri accepts English to get easy touch with the outer world. Locales, Guides, Shopkeepers, and businessmen widely use this language.
